We're a Baptist church, but we're not your typical Sunday morning experience. We're led by a pastor who grew up in Baltimore City, navigating the same struggles and systems that tried to define him by his circumstances instead of his potential. He's been where you are, and he's committed to making sure no one has to walk that road alone.

This church was born from a simple conviction: everyone deserves a place where they're seen, heard, and valued—no prerequisites, no performance required. God gave us a vision to be a refuge for people in dark places, to create space for spiritual growth that meets you exactly where you are. Not where someone thinks you should be. Where you are.
We get that life is complicated. We know that faith journeys don't follow a straight line. We understand that trust has to be earned, especially when trust has been broken. That's why we're committed to doing things differently.
Meet oUR PASTOR
Pastor Karl Bibbens didn't grow up as sheltered from life's harsh realities. He was raised in Baltimore City, where survival often meant making tough choices and where your zip code could determine your destiny. He knows what it's like to navigate systems that weren't built for you, to face struggles that test everything you believe about yourself and the world around you.
But his story didn't end with his struggles—it was transformed by them.
At a critical turning point, his wife spoke truth into his life with a love that wouldn't let him settle for less than God's best. Her unwavering belief in who he could become helped him see a future beyond his circumstances, and together they made the decision to walk a different path.
Through his darkest moments, God met him right where he was. No conditions, no cleanup required. That encounter changed everything. It gave him a second chance, a new purpose, and a calling that he couldn't ignore: to be for others what someone was for him. To see potential where others see problems. To offer hope where others offer judgment.
